Privacy Policy for GroBit

1. Introduction

Welcome to GroBit. Developed by Sandip, GroBit is a privacy-first, 100% offline habit tracking application. We believe that your daily routines, goals, and personal data belong entirely to you.

This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled when you use the GroBit application. The short version: We do not collect, store, share, or sell any of your personal data. Everything stays on your device.

2. Data Collection and Storage

GroBit is a local-first application. This means:

• No Cloud Servers: We do not operate any external servers.
• No Data Collection: We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, or crash reports.
• Local Storage: All your data (including your name, habits, streaks, and focus timer logs) is stored securely and exclusively on your device’s local database.

3. Device Permissions

To provide its core features, GroBit may request the following on-device permissions. None of the data accessed via these permissions ever leaves your phone:

• Notifications: To send you daily local reminders for your habits.
• Biometrics / FaceID / Fingerprint: To authenticate you when using the App Lock feature. The app only receives a “success” or “fail” signal from your device’s native security hardware; it does not access your actual biometric data.
• Storage / Files: Required only if you choose to manually export or restore your data using the CSV Backup feature.

4. Third-Party Services and Advertising

GroBit is completely ad-free. We do not use any third-party advertising networks, tracking pixels, or marketing SDKs.

5. Data Export and Deletion

Because your data is stored locally, you have total control over it:

• Export: You can export your data at any time via the “Export to CSV” feature in the settings.
• Deletion: You can delete all your data instantly by utilizing the “Reset Data” feature within the app, or simply by uninstalling the application from your device.

6. Children’s Privacy

GroBit is safe for all ages. Because the app operates entirely offline and does not collect personal information, it strictly complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar global regulations.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with a new “Effective Date” at the top of this document. Since we do not collect your email address, we encourage you to review this policy periodically within the app or on our official repository.
